This was a really fun collab with YETI! So YETI reached with the proposal to do an art collab with me for their artist series. They shipped a total of 66 tumblers for me to paint and the guidelines were that the art had to connect to the outdoors or nature, that was it. I only had a month to paint these, so I had to figure out what I could paint, and quickly! I’ve always been drawn to the Day of the Dead artwork for the color, graphic shapes, and symbolism of the art. I also had a feeling that the tumblers would look really cool with these skulls painted on them, especially the mixing of colors, doing some neon theme ones, the more floral ones, some got more tribal, and then the state flower series for each state where YETI has a physical store in.
